Casement Windows

Side-hung or top-hung casement sashes — the most widely fitted style. Available with or without glazing bars, in a wide range of colours. Can be configured as single, twin or three-light units with fixed and opening combinations.

Sash Windows

Vertical sliding sash windows in uPVC — ideal for Victorian and Edwardian properties where the sash profile is part of the character of the building but the original timber frames have deteriorated beyond repair. Run-through mechanical joints give an authentic appearance. Spiral or spring balance operation.

Tilt-and-Turn Windows

Popular in continental Europe and increasingly specified in the UK — particularly for upper floor windows where safety and ventilation are priorities. Tilts inward at the top for ventilation; turns inward on a side hinge for cleaning and emergency escape.

Fixed Lights

Non-opening fixed panes — typically used alongside opening casements where ventilation isn't required. Maximise glazed area for light-well windows, staircase windows and feature glazing.

Colour Options

Standard uPVC is white. Most of our uPVC range is also available in:

  • Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016) — the most popular alternative, particularly for extensions and contemporary homes
  • Agate Grey — a softer mid-grey
  • Rosewood — woodgrain foil, warm brown tones
  • Golden Oak — woodgrain foil, lighter honey tone
  • Black — on-trend for modern properties
  • Dual colour — different inside and out; most commonly white inside, grey or black outside

What We Install and Why It Matters

Not all uPVC windows are equal. Quality varies significantly in profile depth, glass pack, hardware and weatherseal design. We specify windows that meet the following as standard:

  • Sealed units: A-rated with warm-edge spacer bars (low-E glass, argon fill)
  • Frames: Multi-chamber profiles with reinforced steel inserts in all main members
  • Hardware: Multi-point locking mechanisms (typically 3-point minimum) with appropriate security ratings
  • Weatherseal: Compression seal on both sash and frame for a consistent draught seal

How long do uPVC windows last?

Quality uPVC frames typically last 20–30 years before the profile begins to discolour or warp. Sealed units often fail sooner — typically 15–25 years — but can be replaced without changing the frame.

Can uPVC windows be cleaned?

Yes. uPVC frames clean easily with warm soapy water. Avoid abrasive cleaners which can scratch the surface. Coloured foil finishes should be cleaned with manufacturer-recommended products to preserve the finish.

Do uPVC windows reduce noise?

Double glazed uPVC windows with a standard sealed unit provide moderate noise reduction. For properties near Heathrow flight paths or busy roads, we recommend acoustic sealed units (typically 6-16-6.4 laminated glass) for meaningful noise reduction.

Is FENSA registration included?

Yes — always. Every replacement window installation we carry out is registered with FENSA. You'll receive a certificate confirming compliance with building regulations, which is needed when you sell your property.
