Glass Splashbacks in Uxbridge & West London

A glass splashback is a single seamless panel of toughened glass fitted to the wall behind your hob, sink or worktop — or across a full bathroom wall. Because there are no grout lines or joins, it's far easier to keep clean than tiles, and the continuous surface gives a contemporary, high-end look to any kitchen or bathroom.

AMB Glass manufactures glass splashbacks to any colour using a painted glass process: the chosen colour is applied to the back of the glass before it's toughened, so the colour is permanent and protected by the glass surface itself. The result is a deep, lustrous finish that won't chip, peel or fade.

We cut to your exact dimensions, make allowances for sockets, switches and pipework, and can supply only or supply and fit.

We can match any RAL, BS or Farrow & Ball colour — or supply a sample chip for you to choose from. If you want to match your kitchen units, tiles or worktop, bring us a colour reference and we'll do the rest.

Heat-Resistant Safety Glass

All our kitchen splashbacks use toughened safety glass, which withstands heat from a hob and complies with building regulations for glazing near cooking appliances. Standard float glass is not appropriate for this application.

Perfect Fit, Every Time

We measure precisely in situ, accounting for walls that aren't perfectly square, outlets, switches and any other obstacles. The glass is then cut to millimetre accuracy in our Uxbridge workshop.

Professional Fitting Included

Our fitting team uses the correct adhesive for your wall surface — whether plasterboard, tile or stone — and fits neatly around all sockets and switches using chrome cover plates for a professional finish.

Kitchen Hob Splashbacks

The most popular application. A full-width panel behind the hob, typically extending to the underside of the extractor or kitchen units above. We cut accurately around any electrical sockets or switches with chrome cover plate surrounds.

Behind-Sink Splashbacks

A panel behind the kitchen sink and draining area — practical, hygienic and easy to wipe down. Can match the hob splashback colour for a consistent kitchen design.

Full-Wall Kitchen Panels

For a dramatic, seamless look, we can supply multiple panels that tile the full back wall of a kitchen run with minimal visible joins. Perfect for open-plan kitchens and contemporary designs.

Bathroom Splashbacks

Glass panels behind basins and baths — an alternative to tiles that's waterproof, hygienic and far easier to keep clean. Available in any colour to complement your bathroom scheme.

Low-Iron (Starphire) Glass

Standard glass has a slight green tinge, which can affect certain colours — particularly whites and very pale shades. Low-iron glass is ultra-clear, giving truer colour representation. We recommend it for white, cream, pale grey and pastel splashbacks.

Printed & Photographic Glass

We can also supply digitally printed glass panels — photographs, patterns, custom artwork printed directly onto toughened glass. Ideal for a feature wall or a truly unique design.

Survey & Measure

We visit and measure your kitchen or bathroom precisely, noting socket positions, switch placements, tile or wall surface and any obstacles.

Choose Your Colour

We present colour options or match to your specification. We can show you printed colour samples to confirm the shade before ordering.

Manufacture

Your splashback is painted, toughened and cut in our workshop. Holes for sockets and switches are drilled before toughening. This typically takes 5–7 working days.

Fit

We fit the splashback using the appropriate adhesive and fixings for your wall type, fit chrome socket cover plates and ensure a neat, sealed finish at all edges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you match my specific colour exactly?

We can match any RAL or BS colour and many proprietary paint colours. Bring a colour reference — a paint chip, a tile sample, or a code — and we'll produce a colour match for your approval before ordering.

Are glass splashbacks safe behind a gas hob?

Yes, provided toughened glass is used and the glass is positioned an appropriate distance from the flame. Building regulations require the glass to be at least 50mm from an open flame. We confirm compliance during the survey visit.

How long does a glass splashback last?

Essentially indefinitely. The colour is baked onto the back of the toughened glass — it won't chip, peel, fade or harbour bacteria. Glass splashbacks typically outlast kitchen refits and can be transferred if you remodel.

Can you fit a splashback over existing tiles?

Yes, in most cases. We can bond glass directly over flat existing tiles, avoiding the cost and disruption of tile removal. We assess the existing surface during the survey to confirm suitability.

What if I have an unusual layout or lots of sockets?

We handle complex layouts regularly — multiple sockets, switches, pipework penetrations, return corners and angled cuts. These are all factored into the survey and quote.
