Do Juliet balconies need planning permission?
Yes. We cut glass to exact measurements in our own workshop. If your shower tray is an unusual size, angled, or you have a wet room with a non-standard layout, we can design a screen that works.
What's the difference between frameless and framed shower screens?
Frameless screens use minimal hardware — typically wall channels and pivot hinges — with no aluminium frame around the glass. They look cleaner but cost more. Framed or semi-framed enclosures have aluminium channels around more of the glass perimeter — less visible glass area, lower cost, easier to seal.
Do I need toughened glass for a shower screen?
Yes. Building regulations require safety glazing (toughened or laminated glass) in shower enclosures. Standard float glass is not acceptable.
Can you replace just one panel of an existing shower enclosure?
Often yes — if the frame is intact and we can source matching glass dimensions and hardware, we can replace a single broken panel without replacing the whole enclosure.
