Millimetre-Accurate Cutting

Our cutting equipment is calibrated for precision. We cut to the dimensions you provide, with tolerance typically within ±1mm. For critical applications (frameless systems, CNC-cut shapes), we discuss tolerances with you before cutting.

Edge Finishing to Specification

Raw-cut glass edges are sharp. We offer seamed edges (safe to handle), flat polished edges (clean and neat for exposed applications) and pencil-polished edges (smooth rounded profile). Ask us about chamfered and bevelled options too.

Glass Types We Cut

Float Glass

Standard clear glass for windows, shelving, display cabinets, picture frames and general glazing. Available in 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm and 10mm thicknesses.

Toughened Safety Glass

Heat-treated for safety — when it breaks, it shatters into small blunt pieces rather than dangerous shards. Required by building regulations for low-level glazing, shower screens, doors and certain staircase applications. Available in 6mm, 8mm and 10mm.

Laminated Glass

Two panes bonded with a PVB interlayer. When broken, the glass clings to the interlayer rather than scattering. Used for overhead glazing, balustrades, car windscreens and security applications.

Obscure & Frosted Glass

For privacy applications — bathrooms, front doors and partitions. We stock multiple patterns including Satin, Cotswold, Stippolyte, Ice and Acid-Etched. Available in various thicknesses and as toughened.

Low-Iron Glass

Standard float glass has a slight green tinge. Low-iron (extra-clear) glass has a neutral colour that is ideal for frameless systems, display cases, splashbacks and anywhere colour clarity matters.

Greenhouse & Horticultural Glass

Standard horticultural glass cut to size for greenhouse panels, cold frames and cloches. We can also supply toughened glass panels as a safer, longer-lasting alternative.

Frequently Asked Questions

What information do I need to provide for a quote?

We need: the glass type, thickness, width and height (in mm), quantity, and edge finish required. If you're unsure about any of these, call us and we'll help you work it out.

Can you cut glass to unusual shapes?

We can cut straight lines, right angles and 45° mitres. For circles, curves and complex profiles, some shapes are achievable depending on the glass type — contact us with a sketch or drawing.

Is toughened glass cut to size available?

Yes, but toughened glass cannot be cut after toughening — it must be cut to size first, then toughened. This means we need your exact dimensions before the glass is processed. Allow 2–3 working days for toughened orders.

What is the minimum and maximum size you can cut?

Minimum is approximately 50mm × 50mm. Maximum depends on the sheet size available for your glass type — for most standard glass, we can cut up to around 3,000mm × 2,000mm. Contact us for specific sizes.

Can I collect the glass from your Uxbridge workshop?

Yes. We can have your glass cut and ready for collection, and we'll wrap it safely for transport. Please tell us when you'd like to collect when you place your order.

Do you deliver?

Yes, we deliver glass within Uxbridge and surrounding areas. Delivery charges vary by distance and order size — we'll include this in your quote.
